Everyone is invited to participate in St. Mary’s Christian Education program which meets on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in our Parish House September through May.

We offer opportunities for all ages (infant to adult) to learn, grow and meet other members of the community who share in the journey to Christ. In case of emergency, we strongly urge parents to stay on St. Mary’s grounds while their children participate in Christian Formation. Please consider taking part in Adult Ed this year!

  • Infant/Toddler
From newborn to 3 years old, the nursery allows the children to play in a safe, caring environment while exploring an introduction to Christian Education.

  • Godly Play (Ages Pre-K to 6th Grade)
A Montessori-inspired method of teaching Biblical stories and church traditions, Godly Play introduces and nurtures our children’s relationship with God.

  • Journey to Adulthood (7th -12th Grade)
J2A is six year program designed to encourage young adults to explore their relationship with God and community. This is an innovative and new approach to mentor young adults as they experience this spiritual journey with the hope of retaining young adults who may otherwise disengage from the church community in their late teens.

  • Adult Education - Sundays & Wednesday Evenings
The Adult Education program offers up to three Sunday morning classes that center on religious and spiritual issues, both traditional and contemporary. Topics have included “God in the Headlines” a lively discussion about God and current events, Bible study and discussions of a current book, relating it to Christianity.

Topics for Fall 2007 Include:

Contemporary Issues, Aging with Grace.... Reflections to Inspire the Mature Years and The Scared Art Of Living and Dying

The heart of Christian Education for people of all ages is participation in the Sunday Eucharist. Christian Education is a lifelong process of worship, growth, learning and sharing in the Christian faith. All adult classes, programs, and ministry grow out of this central experience of worship.

Participation in our programs and classes requires no prior experience or knowledge, only a desire to learn and deepen your relationship with God in Christ. We look forward to your participation.
